For those who have shared their playlists and favorite songs for the past few years, it's time to say goodbye to the imeem community. After their last attempt, the imeem website is now offline. Due to licensing issues and fees, they had to let go.
Myspace and the people from Imeem has just finalized their deal and now everything that was Imeem is being transitioned to Myspace Music. The deal lets Myspace acquire certain assets of Imeem.
Imeem's music playback licenses already expired and that the said company is no longer able to keep up with the licensing fees. This and The Orchard's motion to sue them over content that they played without the proper licensing.
Logging onto imeem.com now redirects users to the Myspace Music website and all the playlists don't work anymore. The imeem iPhone app no longer works as well.
