The DELL Mini 5 was one of the hot items during the recent CES 2010 event. Of course people were wondering as to what kind of device/gadget it presented itself to be. Touchscreen bigger than an iPod touch yet smaller than what you could call a slate.
Below are videos of the device: first with Michael Dell himself and another by a Chinese with a tear down video of the gadget for specifications.
So far, specifications for this device have been the following:
5 inch screen (800x480 pixel resolution)
2 MiniSD card slots
a 5.6wh battery
1Ghz Snapdragon processor
a sim card slot
WiFi, Bluetooth and 3G radio
5 megapixel camera with flash
runs on Android 1.6
touchscreen (of course)
Current pricing is about $1,000 hoping that's not final since the device is not due until a few more months (they say a possible March-May release).
If DELL reduces the cost of this device, we'll grab 2.
