A Look At What the iPad Does

Now that the iPad is officially out, what can the Apple consumer community expect from the new device? Is it like an enlarged iPhone/iPod Touch as others say? As one would ask, is this new addition to the Apple line of "i-Gadgets" monetarily feasible to consumers who have been Apple followers for some time now? We list down the features as presented by Apple.
Given that the iPhone and iPod Touch perform very well, we can definitely expect the same from the iPad. Here is a list of features that consumers might want to look at and compare before their much anticipated consumer release:

* Surf the net with Safari

* MobileMe, Yahoo! Mail, Gmail, Hotmail, and AOL. Work with your mail right on the iPad
* Use the iPad as a photoframe and take pictures with the optional Camera Connection Kit.
* Watch Videos, full screen or not with a double tap on it.
* Watch Youtube as well.
* Use it like a regular iPod and listen to music with iTunes with its built-in speakers
* Games to business apps. 140,000 apps from the Apps store.
* Reading e-books for free or purchased. Check them with iBooks
* Check out places with Google maps
* Jotting notes will never be the same with its large screen and on-screen keyboard
* Calendars and Contacts keeps you mobile and organized
* the Home Screen lets you customize the layout the way you want it to be
* Search functions take you one step further. Search everything from mail to contacts to websites and even your apps.

And with the features listed, is purchasing the new iPad going to be a YES or a NO?
