Access Linux Partitions in Windows

Are you running Linux and Windows on a dual boot system? or do you have Linux partitioned drive that you want to check on windows or back up the drive perhaps?

As most of us know, Linux partitions are 'by default' are not accessible on the Windows platform. The NTFS and FAT16/32 partitions however are accessible on Linux platforms.

So how do we get Linux file systems recognized inside Windows?

Ext2 IFS, a third-party freeware software is available for download to make this possible.  The program allows full read and write access to the Linux partitions in Windows. It installs a pure kernel mode file system driver ext2fs.sys, which actually extends the Windows OS to include the ext2 file system. This in turn allows access to the Linux partitions without need of extra work. Now you will be able to work your Linux file systems within Windows.

Supported OS: Windows NT 4.0/2000/XP/2003/Vista/2008
